With over 25 years of experience and 200 weddings, Violinist Carl Rochford transforms ceremonies into unforgettable events. His vast repertoire ranges from classical to popular music, perfectly tailoring each performance to the couple's story. Carl is not just a talented musician but also a highly qualified one, with a Master's in Violin Performance from CIT, and experience with notable orchestras. His passion and skill in creating a unique, emotional atmosphere make every wedding special.
Carl Rochford - Violin
Carl Rochford has performed in over one hundred weddings in Ireland over the past 25 years as a solo violinist, violin and piano duo and as leader of the Bernini String quartet, Isis Quartet, Heifetz quartet and Quartet Kilkenny. He is currently Director of the Kilkenny Violin Studio and is active as a performing violinist. Carl studied violin with Gregory Ellis (Vanbrugh Quartet), Phillipa Lees (Cork School of Music), Ruxandra Petcu Colan (Academica String Quartet), Marianna Sirbu (Stradivari String Quartet) and Adrian Petcu (Cork School of Music).
Carl graduated with a BMus from the CIT Cork School of Music in 1999, the LTCL in Violin Performance in 2002 and completed a Masters Degree in Violin Performance in 2015. Carl is in high demand as a violinist at wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships all around Ireland.
As a violinist, Carl has played with the CSM Symphony Orchestra, Frenchwoods Symphony Orchestra, CSM Baroque Ensemble, Opera South Orchestra, Bernini Ensemble, Hibernian Orchestra, Academos, Waterford Concert Orchestra and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra
